That was a beautiful day in November 2017. He returned from work very tiring had dinner, and planning to get a good sleep. Suddenly he received a text on his mobile phone saying ‘Advance Happy Birthday!’ from an old friend. He smiled and realized that tomorrow is his birthday, and he replied: “Thank you 😀”. He felt birthdays are not same like before, no late-night parties; birthday bumps, and missed all the fun starring on the wall as he made himself comfortable on the bed. He didn’t realize that he fell asleep thinking about this. As the time pass by close to 12 AM, he started receiving calls from friends and family one after another. He felt happy and he talked with friends, it’s almost 2 AM now, he knows that tomorrow will be a busy day and thinking about what to wear tomorrow, he again falls asleep. It’s 3 AM now suddenly his phone ringed, he woke up and picked up the phone and said “HELLO”. There was no reply and he looked up the phone for the contact and it was the new number. He again said, “Hello, May I know who’s dis?”. Then what he heard made a huge rumbling in his heart, it seems to be a girl’s voice which is crying out-loud. He scared to death and asked few more times “please do tell me who are you, I can help you.” Without disconnecting his phone, random thoughts were running through his mind. It may be a friend, or it may be a colleague seeking help. It’s midnight and its girl’s voice, imagining about different situations his body became so cold and nervous. He thought there is someone who is in great danger and needed help. So he said in the phone call “Please stop crying, I can help you in any way.” After a prolonged pause, the sobering crying voice stopped. It felt like he’s been recovered from a heart attack, he said “ Now please tell me who are you? and how can I help you”. The trembling voice said, “ Do you remember me?”. Within a second recognising her voice, millions of memories flashed in the darkroom before his eyes. Tears rolling down his cheeks he said “I still remember the smell of your perfume, how can I forget you and shouted what the hell happened? It’s been 3 years!”.
